Genpei Akasegawa said, gIf you observe objects in the streets from
a slightly different point of view from the ordinary one, you would
find an ordinary daily scene looks quite different. Therefore, we invited
people of all ages, from elementary school children to the old, to send
in photographs of the streets of Shinagawa taken from their own point
of view. Among the works sent to us, those awarded gSpecial Jury Awardh
or gexcellent Worksh were all articulate of the senses of the photographer,
and enabled us to see a wonderful art in everyday objects. In the exhibition,
we could see the works by the three members of the jury in the gmasterpiece
cornerh.
