The total exhibition space is open to the public as
rental galleries. They can be used to exhibit any kind of art works
such as, paintings, calligraphic works, sculptures, photographs, three-dimensional
art, or crafts.
[Term of the Rent]
The galleries are rented by a unit of six days, basically from Friday
to Wednesday, and if a Thursday falls on a public holiday, the term
begins from the Thursday, and on the next day, Friday, the museum
is closed.
[The Open Hours of the Museum]
10:00 a.m. - 6: 30 p.m. (The entrance allowed until 6:00 p.m.)
[Closed]
Every Thursday (if a Thursday falls on a public holiday, the museum
is closed on the following day), during the year-end and the New Year’s
holidays, and about a week before and after special exhibitions.
[Application for the Rent]
An application will be accepted during the first week of each month,
six months prior to the first day of your planned rental term. However,
as far as the galleries are left unreserved, the applications will
be accepted until a week before the term you want to rent.
[Where to Submit an Application]
The applications are accepted at the office at O Art Museum or at
the Shinagawaites’ Gallery. No application on the telephone or by
mail can be accepted.

* When a renter collects admission fee, he will be charged 150%
of the above amount.
* “Residents” includes “an individual or a group that has an address
within Shinagawa Ward”, “a group which has an office in Shinagawa
Ward”, or “a group the majority of whose members have addresses
in Shinagawa Ward”. Others will be charged as “Non-residents”.
● No exhibition whose main aim is a commercial
transaction will be allowed.
● Please transfer the rental fee to the museum’s bank account within
a week after submitting an application. In case the renter offers
a cancellation after the payment not later than three months before
the time of the rent and is approved, the half of the rental fee is
refundable.
